기존에 녹지관리소로 사용되던 조그만 건물은 여의도 한강공원 특화사업의 일환으로 새롭게 리모델링 된다. 물, 하늘, 바람 그리고 빛을 형상화하여 건물의 상부에서부터 디지털 이미지의 빛의 폭포(Light Fall)가 된다.
As a part of the Yeoido Han River Park Project the small run down building originally used as the park maintenance office will undergo renovations. The natural elements of water, sky, wind and light are illustrated as a digital image to create the effect of a Lightfall.
빛의 폭포는 1층은 필로티로 되어 있으며, 2층은 카페, 옥상부분은 전망대로 사용된다. 윤중로에서 전망데크를 통해 진입하면 한강을 배경으로 캐스케이드, 너른마당, 플로팅스테이지, 밤섬까지 한눈에 펼쳐진다. 2층부분는 경사를 활용한 데크를 계획하여 카페 및 휴식공간으로 사용될 것이다.
