풍경이라는 것은 개인들의 일련의 경험들에 의하여 형성되기 때문에 개별적일 수 있지만 이러한 행위들이 상상력의 범주 밖에서는 의외로 아주 뚜렷한 객관성을 띄게 된다. 가령 서울이라고 하면 거대한 랜드마크 빌딩, 황량한 한강, 아파트 단지, 꽉 막힌 차도, 멀리 보이는 산맥들의 이미지를 누구나 우선 떠올리게 된다. 같은 풍경이라 하더라도 개별적 체험으로 형성된 각자만의 이야기를 교류할 수 있으며, 같은 공간에서도 서로 다른 경험을 서로 이야기 할 수 있는 재미있는 풍경에 대한 이야기를 상상해본다.
The way of seeing is influenced by our past memories and individual differences can affect out visual perception. However, we can be objective without imagination and perhaps biased. For example, an instant image of Seoul is the combination of high raised apartments, desolated Han River, traffic jams, and mountains in distance. Imagine us being in the same space and there are various stories and personal experiences shared by individuals.
Hybrid Landscape_ Emotional Urban Landscape 혼성적 풍경_ 만화적 상상력이 물들인 감성적인 도시풍경
사이트를 기점으로 펼쳐진 360°의 경관 파노라마는 청담대교, 뚝섬한강공원, 잠실한강공원이라는 각각의 시각적 지표를 기점으로 3등분할 수 있다. 이 3개의 평면적 분할 과 그 분할 축에서 형성된 볼륨은 내부공간이 되고 나머지 외부 공간은 관찰자의 프레임뷰가 된다. 1층에서부터 시작되어 3층에 이르기 까지 관람자 들은 일련의 스토리를 가지고 진행된 전시계획을 따라 마치 한편의 에니메이션을 보듯이 관람을 즐기게 된다. 3개축의 구심점에 형성된 코어 영역의 외벽은 외부 풍경과 자연광이 유입되는 구조로 되어 만화 속 환상에 도시의 현실풍경이 관입되면서 묘한 혼성적체험이 이루어지며 일순간 경직된 도시풍경과는 또 다른 모습의 개인적 감성이 발현 되는 독특한 공간이 된다. 이처럼 MGM Children Cartoon Museum (이하 MccM)은 상상과 현실체험이 어우러져 현실풍경에 대한 또 다른 해석이 가능한 새로운 개념의 문화공간이 될 것으로 기대한다.
From the site, a 360 degree view can be divided into three viewing points, Chungdam Bridge, Ttuckseom Han River Park, and Jamsil Han River Park. Three volumes defined by the three axes become internal space and the remaining external space becomes an observation frame. From the first floor, visitors will see a series of exhibitions like watching the animation until they reach to the third floor.
The illusion of animation merge with the landscape screened through the exterior wall structure of three core areas. The experience of this extraordinary phenomenon transforms stark urban landscape to unique emotional space. MGM Children Cartoon Museum (MCCM), a new cultural space can be describes as a blend of perceptions, fantasy and the actual experience.
